About Our Banners

Grommets are included in the price of the banners, one grommet every 30” all around.
The 13-ounce reinforced scrim vinyl banner material is the most we use. We will use the glossy material unless you ask for the matte.

Pockets for pipes or ropes to be run through any side of the banner are @ $2 per linear foot to be folded.

If you are on a budget and you want to save a little on banners, choose the no hemming of the edges. These banners can still last you years outdoors.

Warning about hanging a banner: if you will be hanging the banner between two points (two poles for example) you should tell us and we would make a pocket on the top side and run a rope inside it prior to folding. You should not use the rope only on the two corner grommets. This will cause the grommets to rip out and the banner would fall in no time. The right way is to fold the material and make a pocket and run a rope inside. To save money, you can choose the no hemming and no pocket and you can run a rope in and out of each grommet on the top side. Use two more ropes to pull on the lower two corners but don’t pull too tight.

Block-out and double sided banners: when a banner is hung between two points and no structure is behind, light can go through the banner and make the text or graphics less opaque. Opacity could be reduced by up to 30% but there is a way to counter that. We can use a banner material that has an extra layer that blocks any light from going through. On this “block-out banner” we can print on the other side of the banner without the text or graphics from one side showing through the other side.

Is Hemming (1” fold and stitch of the edge) necessary?
For indoor banners, hemming could help against curling up but it does not eliminate it. If all grommets are used  no need for hemming.

For outdoor banners , hemming is recommended if you intend to keep the banner for more than a year. If not all grommets are used to hang the banner on all 4 sides then it is crucial to hem because the wind would be throwing the lower part in all directions and that means ripping the sides. If all grommets are used on all 4 sides and you intend to use the banner for less than a year then the hemming could be skipped
